Time to decide
In 2009 I enrolled at the UMG in Catanzaro in the Sports Science course, and in 2011 I graduated from the three-year course. As soon as I finished my three-year degree, I did a course to become a Personal Trainer at CSEN in Marcellinara (CZ). After that, I took a sabbatical year and did other jobs that helped me both to acquire money management skills and to enter the working world. I later financed my studies by enrolling in the Master's degree in motor sciences in Rome.
The beginning of the work
In 2015 I applied for teaching, and after a while I got a yearly contract. Working with boys and girls in schools I became more and more passionate about this job, which I still find stimulating because it puts you to the test in different aspects. From this moment on I gradually entered the world of school as a teacher of Physical Education.
The Change
From 2015 onwards, something in me began to change, which pushed me to want to study spiritual disciplines first, then psychological ones. I began to study different fields, such as chemistry, quantum physics, general, social, cognitive and mass psychology. In this period I also began to work in a resort during the summer as a lifeguard to make ends meet, but in reality here a great opportunity opened up for me, because I began to meet an impressive amount of people, as in the resorts the turnover every week is very rapid. I perceived all this as an opportunity because the numerous social contacts encouraged me to grow in terms of communication, which until that moment I had not developed adequately.
Troubleshooting
As early as 2011 I began to feel the need for change, until then I suffered from a series of allergies (perennial colds), as well as migraines with auras and other things I have forgotten about. From then on I looked for the solution, and I found it initially in the change of diet, I switched from an omnivorous to a vegan diet, very gradually. Initially I lost a lot of weight, which I later regained.

The way of psychology
In 2018 I applied to the Faculty of Psychology (three-year degree), on my path here I met many interesting teachers as well as a few colleagues. I wondered during this path why psychology students/teachers were not as social as those in exercise science, but I still don't have the answer. In just two years, I graduated in 2019.
Immediately I enrolled in the Master's programme in Neuroscience at the UMG in Catanzaro, where I began a very interesting journey, as I began to study what had always fascinated me, the brain, in great depth.
Here I did an experimental thesis on the mental representation of the body. It was truly formative work that allowed me to gain practical skills, as I conducted it within the school where I was teaching, so from the collection to the organisation and processing of the data I had to do almost everything myself. In July 2021, I will specialise in Neuroscience with distinction.
My story
In 2007 I graduated as a dental technician, but I already knew it was not my path, I have always enjoyed playing sports in life. Already from the age of five I played with my bike, and then football in the street with my friends.
At the age of 12 I started doing Taekwondo at the gym in my village, and continued until I was about 19 years old and had a half-black belt. In the meantime, I also practised swimming, as I needed to be a lifeguard during the summer to scrape together something to then enrol in university.

Knowledge of Hypnosis and NLP
During my pre-degree internship I discovered hypnosis and NLP that fascinated me greatly, thanks to my tutor. From that moment on my life changed drastically, as I began to study these two approaches on which there is a strong prejudice.
I began to do numerous experiments in self-hypnosis, which amazed me immensely, given the results I obtained.
Post-Graduate Internship
After graduating I did an internship with the ISP of Rome, in both Online and in-person mode, here I began to really understand how to put into practice everything I had studied for years. This was the experience that changed me drastically from an operational point of view. During the internship I met a researcher with whom I collaborated on a publication on Springer on the psychological effects of the lock down. (To consult the publication click HERE )
The Milton Erickson Association
In 2021 my tutor decided to open an association which I asked to join. The aim of the association was to work in the social field by first trying to identify social phenomena (e.g. covid ‘lock down’ effects) and then to quantify their effects.
The hypnosis course
From September 2022 to March 2023 I did a Post-Ericksonian hypnosis course at NLP Meta in Bologna. A truly formative and useful course because I acquired several skills.
Psychophysical wellbeing comes from decisions
Hello everyone, my name is Domenico Cafaro, I like to prevent rather than cure, I think that much of what I have done in my life in terms of change has been done for preventive purposes, the disease once present already indicates the organism's desire for a healing attempt, but if we continue to persevere in bad habits, diet, poor training, continuous stress and more, inevitably the organism, as well as the mind, adapts to a new pathological balance on several levels.
I work on prevention, so if you need to know how to develop skills in the social sphere, on healthy and active lifestyles, for gaining an optimal state of psycho-physical health and well-being and for maintaining it, then contact me.

Social evolution
In the capital city I made many acquaintances, especially multi-ethnic ones, I was staying in the student house, during that time I met many personalities, it was really fun.
For my master's degree I decided to do an experimental thesis. The work consisted of measuring strength in women with cancer, who had undergone sentinel lymph node removal surgery. It was a truly formative experience, which earned me a publication in Medicine. (Publication here)
I did my internship at the athletics camp ‘la Farnesina’. During this time, I became so passionate about athletics that I started practising as a sprinter, so much so that I took the 1st level instructor's course, which I achieved with top marks.
In October 2014, I specialised in Sports Science and Techniques with distinction. From this point on, I experienced a year of confusion about what I wanted to do with my life, going around gyms looking for work as a personal trainer.
